Hi guys! A few days ago I went to Burr Oak lake with my dad. We parked at the dam then hiked about a mile to a hidden pine grove, but before that we went around the toilets to a different trail and found a geocache hidden under a tree with an old birdhouse. Then we hiked to the pine grove and sent up the tent. We were backpacking, which is where you carry all your supplies in your backpack, so instead of carrying tent poles, we used trecking poles. We gathered firewood, then went swimming in the lake, which was really deep, so I had to wear a lifejacket. I found a BUNCH of shells, and I didn't have a container for them, so when we got back to the campsite, I put them in one of my socks. We hadn't brought a towl, so we lit the fire then had dinner and marshmallows. After a while we got into the tent and read for a bit, then went to sleep. The next morning we made brectfast, then went to watch the lake, and saw some fish jumping, then we packed up, hiked back to the dam, and drove home.
Stay safe, and stay strong!

What an enjoyable time with your dad. I can’t believe that you found another geocache!
Great pics! It sounds like a great adventure.
